This is the eighth annual report summarizing the results of the Food and Drug Administraion's (FDA) pesticide residue monitoring program. The previous reports, which were published in the Journal of the Association of Official Analytical Chemists/Journal of AOAC Interantional, presented results from Fiscal Years (FY) 1987 through 1993. The present report includes findings obtained during FY94 (October 1, 1993 through September 30, 1994) under regulatory and incidence/level monitoring. Selected Total Diet Study findings for 1994 are also presented. Results in this and earlier reports continue to demonstrate that levels of pesticide residues in the U.S. food supply are well below established saftey standards.
